Few auto events are quite as celebrated as the annual Woodward Dream Cruise, and with the show coming up fast, the automakers of Detroit are preparing to participate. Ford seems to be the frontrunner this year, nabbing a 1-year deal with the event as the main sponsor, and it has plans to make the most of it, announcing the brandās intentions to have a total of five features at the Dream Cruise, including their usual Mustang Alley event.

Ford came upon the sponsorship deal following on Chevyās heels last year, when Chevrolet ended its 6-year deal as the main sponsor. Woodward Dream Cruise draws over 1.2 million visitors from all over the world annually, taking place in historic metro Detroitās Woodward Avenue. In addition to Mustang Alley in Ferndale, Fordās four new exhibitions at the event will be located along the famed avenue, featuring Fordās track-ready racing vehicles, performance cars, and SUV and crossover vehicles.
Attendees of the event will be able to see everything from the Ford Focus ST to the F-150 Raptor to the Cobra Jet, a modified Mustang fitted with Ford Performance parts. Ford will also use the Woodward Dream Cruise as a platform to unveil the brand-new 2018 Ford Mustang. Keep your eyes open for news information when the event happens on August 19th.
