The "big three" of the truck world are the Ford F-150, RAM 1500, and Chevrolet Silverado 1500, but how do these trucks stack up against each other? Luckily, we've done the homework for you.
Towing
All three pickup trucks - the F-150, Silverado 1500, and RAM 1500 - start their towing capacities around the same number, but those numbers fluctuate as you move up through different available powertrain options. The RAM 1500 tops out at 11,000 pounds, putting it in last place behind the Silverado, which can tow up to 12,000 pounds. The FordF-150, however, is the winner with a best-in-class towing capacity of up to 12,200 pounds of max towing. It also has awesome towing features like trailer backup assist and a tow/haul driving mode.
